i stink at blogging. there, i said it. with the ease of posting images on facebook these days, blogging has fallen to the bottom of my To Do list. and since i never actually *get* to the bottom of that long list, blogging doesn't happen! :( i'd love to start again, because i do love to share images from the sessions i have with all the amazing people i get to photograph. i've gotten to do some super fun things, and i have more ideas up my sleeve... so i'm going to try. i'm going to try really hard to make it more of a priority. you guys hold me to it, ok? 

i thought a good way to come back to blogging would be by entering a photo challenge through i heart faces. i haven't entered them often (because, well, they require blogging! ha!), but i do enjoy the challenge to be creative. 

the theme of this month's IHF challenge is "shadows". 

this is my pal, mike. he's a DJ and plays in this awesome local band, Restless Anthem. i love this shot of mike in the shadows of this fantastic building downtown. show him some love in the comments, will ya? and go check out his pages. (i linked them for you so there's no excuse. :) )

thinking about booking jenn lewis photography for your senior photos? let me tell you a little about the senior experience with us! we'll start the day at my studio with katelyn, my fabulous hair and makeup artist. she'll chat with you about the look you want for your photos and then help you look your best for your shoot! 

when katelyn is finished, we'll go through your outfits you brought with you, and decide which locations would work best with each outfit. we'll also pick an outfit to start with in the studio, and take a few shots here before we head out! 

we'll then head out to our first location that we've decided on prior to your session. i'll help you with posing and also grab some fun in-between shots.

we'll have time for 2-3 locations and 4-5 outfits during your senior experience. i, on the other hand, will be dressed pretty comfortably in case i slide down any hills or trip over my own feet. (right, Lexi? :) 

about 2-3 weeks after your session, your photos will be edited, and we'll schedule your ordering session. we have lots of fun products available to order! your order will typically arrive within 2-4 weeks after your ordering session, depending on what products you order. after your ordering session, your photos will be available for 10 days on your own online gallery on my website, so that your friends and family can view and order directly from the website.

i haven't been great at blogging in a long, long time, so now that i have this nifty blog that's directly linked to my website, i'm going to try to do better about letting you guys know what i'm up to! 

for 4 days last weekend, i was fortunate enough to attend Imaging USA in atlanta, a super huge photography convention that's held each year in january. i was excited to learn from some amazing photographers, network with some new friends, and have fun hanging out with some photographer friends that i don't get to see often enough. 

i attended Imaging with wendy, my pal who i photograph weddings with. we decided to start the weekend off by signing up for a senior styled shootout arranged by Seniorologie and The Savvy Photographer. we had a great time, made some new friends, and created some fun images! the models were fabulous, and the stylist and hair and makeup artists did an amazing job! it was super fun to shoot this styled session, and i'd love to shoot one for you too. book your senior session with me, and together we'll create a style that's all about YOU! 

we had three themes for the styled session... spring, valentine's day, and winter. everyone involved did a fantastic job making this happen!
